Kings Point, NY - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team was back in action Wednesday night in their first away contest of the season, earning the 89-69 victory over Merchant Marine.
Merchant Marine would start fast, jumping out to an early lead that saw them holding a double-digit lead midway through the first half. In the closing five minutes of the first half, Delhi would go on a run to take a seven-point lead heading into the break. The Broncos would ride that momentum the rest of the way and continue to grow their lead in the second half. Delhi would complete the early comeback, cruising to a twenty-point victory when it was all said and done.
Delhi's top performers included first-year Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim leading the way with 22 points going 8-9 from the field 6-7 from three. Junior Gustarling Louis added 15 points of his own, while senior Warren Davis posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Broncos improve to 2-0 and will take on Williams at home on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 3 p.m.
