Farmington, ME - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team was back in action Monday night, coming up short to Farmington.
Farmington would start fast, opening the game on a 7-0 run. Delhi would respond with a run of their own to find themselves right back in it. It would be a back-and-forth battle for the remainder of the half that saw the Broncos with the slim 2-point lead at the break.
The second half would bring much of the same: an even contest between two competitive sides. It would be the Beavers pulling away late to seal the narrow 56-50 victory, improving to 3-1 in conference play.
Delhi's top performers included Senior Lester McCarthy leading the way with 11 points and 3 blocks. Senior Brennan Heaven added 9 points, and senior Isiah Barnes contributed 10 points and 4 assists.
The Broncos fall to 5-9, 2-1 in conference play, and will take on Thomas away tomorrow afternoon.
