Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team was back in action Saturday afternoon in their second home contest of the season, coming up just short to a competitive Williams side.
Delhi would face their biggest test of the season and were up for the challenge. Williams would be playing in their first game of the season, coming off a year in which the squad made it to the third round of the NCAA tournament. The contest would be close from start to finish that saw the Ephs with a slim 6 point heading into the break.
The second half would be much of the same, a close back-and-forth game that the Broncos would remain in striking distance. Midway through, Delhi would make a run to take a brief lead. Ultimately, in the closing minutes, Williams would make key shots down the stretch to pull away with the victory.
Delhi's top performers included senior Isiah Barnes leading the way for the Broncos with 12 points. Junior Gustarling Louis added 10 points and 8 rebounds of his own, while senior Warren Davis posted 8 points.
