DELHI, N.Y. (October 27, 2021) – The 2021 SUNY Delhi women's volleyball regular season concluded on a satisfying note Wednesday night with a sweep of Utica, giving the playoff-bound 20-5 Broncos their first 20-win season in their modern NCAA Division III era and first since 2010. Delhi now turns its full attention to hosting this weekend's NAC West Tournament, with the top-seeded green and gold playing fourth-seed Cazenovia Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Both Stephanie Burke and Witchney Clersainville reached double digits in kills versus the Pioneers on a night where Delhi totaled 42 kills on a .221 hitting percentage. Burke led with 11 kills and totaled 11 digs with a .219 percentage, while Clersainville delivered ten kills and two block assists with a jaw-dropping .529 percentage. Setter Grace Thomas finished the night with 31 assists, eight digs, and four kills. Lexi Taylor continued her scoring efficiency with seven kills on just one error, along with five digs and three block assists.

Rebecca Heuler garnered a match-best 32 digs, with her 31st serving as one of the highlight reels of the season. Ahead 23-21 in set three, an attack by Eleanor Cepiel appeared to be landing in the middle of the Bronco six when Heuler slid into a split and toed the ball back onto the Pioneers' side. She picked up another dig in the rally and finally earned the assist on a Bailee Jones kill to set up match point. HIGHLIGHT BELOW!

Head coach Beau Bracchy earned his third 20-win season of his career through 17 years leading the Broncos. His previous two came during the team's junior college days, where his 2009 squad garnered 22 wins and in 2010 captured 28 victories.

The Broncos, who finished their NAC West regular season a perfect 8-0, look to keep their mark umblemished this weekend on their home court for the division tournament. They open the fray against Cazenovia Saturday at 3:00 p.m., followed by two-seed SUNY Cobleskill and third-seed SUNY Poly taking the court at 5:00 p.m. The winners advance to Sunday's head-to-head with a 2:00 p.m. first serve.
