Broncos Win Third Straight with Road Sweep of St. Elizabeth

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (September 13, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi volleyball squad traveled down in New Jersey to Saint Elizabeth to take on the Eagles Monday, extending their winning streak to three matches with a three -set sweep. The Broncos, now 3-2, won the sets by 25-14, 25-15, and 25-22 scores. 

Bailee Jones and Stephanie Burke made themselves known on the forefront as they finished with 11 and 10 kills, respectively, of Delhi's 42 total kills and .208 kill percentage from 120 total attacks. Burke also tallied 11 digs. Reigning NAC Player of the Week Grace Thomas also wrapped things up with 34 assists, including 14 in Delhi's biggest win in set one, along with 11 digs. Freshman Rebecca Heuler also finished with 29 digs, ensuring she keeps up as a lethal weapon for the Broncos. Lexi Taylor added seven kills, with Marie Julian contributing six kills.

The match kicked off a big week for Delhi that sees them playing three matches in four days. This continues Tuesday when the Broncos play host to Mount Saint Mary for a 7:00 p.m. first serve, followed by a road meeting at MCLA Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
