Witchney Clersainville Nabs NAC Defender of the Week

WATERVILLE, Me. (October 4, 2021) - The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) awarded senior Witchney Clersainville (Spring Valley, NY / Spring Valley) as its Defender of the Week. Clersainville generated block-heavy performances to help Delhi to a 4-0 week, including NAC wins over SUNY Cobleskill, Cazenovia, and SUNY Canton, to run the Broncos' win streak to eight and winning 12 of their last 13. SUNY Delhi is 12-3 and 3-0 in NAC play.

The Broncos opened the week last Monday achieving their first-ever win over Elmira in a five-set thriller. Clersainville was credited with four total blocks and ten kills. Two nights later the green and gold opened their NAC season at SUNY Cobleskill, winning in four sets as Clersainville totaled four total blocks and five kills. The next night versus Cazenovia the Spring Valley, NY native charted four kills and one dig in a three-set sweep. Finally in the team's 3-0 win over SUNY Canton Sunday, Clersainville logged five kills and one solo block. 

Clersainville and the Broncos hit the road for a six-day, seven-match trip, starting at Hartwick Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and at NAC-foe SUNY Poly Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
