Justine Hoffman Joins Volleyball as Assistant Coach

DELHI, N.Y. (September 7, 2021) – SUNY Delhi women's volleyball head coach Beau Bracchy is pleased to welcome Justine Hoffman as the program's new assistant coach for the 2021 season. Hoffman established a name for herself in the Long Island volleyball world, beginning with a student-athlete career at Shoreham-Wading River High School and later Stony Brook, then coaching at the club and college level around the island.

"Super excited about the hiring of Justine Hoffman," said Coach Bracchy.  "J-Hoff brings a wealth of volleyball knowledge and a strong background in this sport! Between her time as a collegiate player at Stony Brook and then her coaching experience with Dowling College and Academy Volleyball on Long Island, Justine has learned about the game from some very strong mentors. She's already made our program better in the short time she's been involved with the SUNY Delhi Volleyball Family!"

Hoffman's career at Stony Brook included being a member of the historic 2007 program that reached the America East championship with a 24-8 record and 11-1 conference record. Majoring in Health Sciences, she was an America East Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient. Upon graduation she returned to her club program, The Island Volleyball Academy, as an assistant coach. During this time she was a volunteer assistant coach at Dowling College. From 2011 to 2015, the Lions won the 2011 East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship and made four NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, winning 114 total matches with four 20-plus-win seasons. Hoffman continued on to build the Long Island Surge volleyball as head coach from 2016 to 2018.

Hoffman works as the Director of Rehabilitation at Margaretville Hospital in Margaretville, N.Y.
