CAZENOVIA N.Y. (October 14, 2021) The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team started their second round of conference play on the road Thursday night with a three-set sweep at Cazenovia College, jumping to 15-5 overall and 5-0 in NAC play. The Broncos completed a season sweep of the Wildcats, with their previous matchup also resulting in three sets at SUNY Delhi on Sept. 30.

Starting off set one, the Broncos had a rocky start as the host team took a 6-2 lead. Delhi quickly turned things around, tying the score up at 7-7, then snagging 18 of the next 26 points for a 25-15 win. The Broncos took an early 3-2 lead in set two, maintaining the lead on their way to their biggest win of the night, 25-12. Entering set three the Broncos once again battled to keep the lead. A vengeful Wildcat team rallied to an 18-17 lead in hopes of taking the set, but the Broncos pulled through to end the match with a 25-21 win.

Knocking down nine kills for the Broncos in the match was Bailee Jones, who also carried a .214 attack percentage, while adding one assist and seven digs. Holding an impressive .333 attack percentage was Witchney Clersainville, landing six kills and adding eight digs and one block solo. Grace Thomas and Rebecca Heuler both showed dominance back at the service line, securing three services aces each for the Broncos. Thomas also added 13 digs and had a team high in assists with 29, while Heuler picked up 19 digs. Delhi held a .176 attack percentage on 38 kills, while picking up 83 digs.

The Broncos are back at it with another NAC West game Sunday taking a trip up to SUNY Canton. Holding down the top spot in the NAC West standings, Delhi will again be looking to maintain an undefeated record heading into the rest of conference play.
