Green and Gold Serve Up Sweep of Canton, Run NAC Record to 3-0

DELHI, N.Y. (October 3, 2021) – SUNY Delhi women's volleyball remains perfect in NAC play and hot following Sunday's three-set home sweep of SUNY Canton to jump its league record to 3-0 and 12-3 overall. The Broncos have won eight straight and 12 of their last 13.

Delhi opened on a tear with a 25-12 first-set win, delivering 19 kills in the frame on a .412 kill percentage. The Broncos continued to roll in set two with their biggest margin of victory at 25-10, then pulled away following a modest 6-5 third-set lead for a 25-13 victory. The green and gold finished with a .302 kill percentage on 42 kills to Canton's -.103 on 11 kills.

Sage Renneisen led the scoring with 13 kills, followed by Stephanie Burke with nine kills and eight digs. Bailee Jones and Kaylin Hamilton tied for the game high of three kills, with Jones tacking on six kills and ten digs, while Hamilton had seven digs. Grace Thomas dished out 27 assists, eight digs, and three kills, while libero Rebecca Heuler led with a dozen digs. Witchney Clersainville totaled five kills with one block solo.

The Broncos now embark on a six-day, seven-match road trip, beginning Tuesday at Hartwick at 6:00 p.m. and at NAC foe-SUNY Poly Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
