CANTON. N.Y. (October 17, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball squad checked off another NAC season sweep Sunday, sweeping SUNY Canton on the road to roll to 16-5 overall and 6-0 to lead the NAC West.

The Broncos wasted no time, coming out of the gate with a 16-4 lead to propel a 25-16 set-one victory. Delhi then staved off a series of Canton comeback attempts when the hosts cut the Broncos' lead down from 12-7 to 12-10. The green and gold captured the next four points to get back on track, but near the end of the set watched a 22-18 advantage glide to 22-21. Delhi swiped three of the next four points for the 25-22 set-two win. SUNY Delhi then claimed its stake with four straight points to start the third frame, building its lead to as many as ten points at 19-9 towards a 25-18 game-clinching win.

Sage Renneisen and Stephanie Burke led in kills with seven apiece on .389 and .154 hitting percentage, respectively. Burke also added four digs and one service ace. Bailee Jones charted five kills, targeting four service aces and five digs. Lexi Taylor and Witchney Clersainville each totaled three kills, with Clersainville registering two solo blocks. Freshman Jaiden Venute handled setting duties for the contest, dishing out 18 assists with three aces and five digs, along with one kill.

Sunday's victory puts head coach Beau Bracchy's team one step closer towards clinching the top spot in the NAC West standings. All will be determined at next Sunday's NAC tri-match where the Broncos will host SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Poly starting at 11:00 a.m. Delhi has one non-conference matchup before then at Bard on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
