DELHI, N.Y. (October 12, 2021) - We are proud to announce our Limitless Photos Broncos of the Week winners in women's volleyball's Lexi Taylor and men's golf's John Williamson!
Lexi Taylor (Norwich, NY / Norwich) started all four matches and played in all 13 sets as the Broncos picked up a three-set NAC win at SUNY Poly Thursday to remain unbeaten in league play and a sweep of Castleton on Saturday. Taylor picked up three kills, six digs, and one block solo Tuesday at Hartwick. She then spurred on a sweep of the conference-foe Wildcats with four kills, three digs, and one block assist. Delhi then headed to the Castleton Tournament Saturday, opening with Eastern Connecticut State, where Taylor's two lengthy serving runs guided and clinched the Broncos an opening-set win. She contributed four kills on a .333 hitting percentage, one dig, and one block assist. Taylor and Delhi then swiftly ran through the host Spartans, with the junior collecting four kills, two digs, and one service ace.
Senior John Williamson (Scotch Plains, NJ / Scotch Plains-Farwood) finally got his chance to compete in his first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship on Delhi's own College Golf Course. He overcame an 84 (+13) first-day score on Saturday to improve by eight strokes Sunday with a 76 (+5) for 13th place overall. The Broncos finished second with a 612 team score (309, 303). His highlights included birdies on the par-five 18th hole both days and birdies on the sixth and ninth holes on day two.
