MARCY, N.Y. (October 7, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team finished their first NAC rotation undefeated Thursday with a three-set sweep at SUNY Poly to jump to 13-4 overall and 4-0 in NAC play. The Broncos lead the Western Division after running through their first division matchups winning 12 of 13 sets against the Wildcats, SUNY Cobleskill, Cazenovia, and SUNY Canton.

After relatively controlling the first set for a 25-18 win, the Broncos were tasked with disarming a vengeful Wildcats team in set two. Delhi broke away after a 10-10 tie with a 6-1 run en route to a 25-21 victory. The green and gold then wrapped things up having to overcome three early two-point Poly leads for their biggest win of the night at 25-15.

Witchney Clersainville led the scoring with seven kills and three blocks, including two solo, for 9.5 points. The well-distributed scoring spread continued with Bailee Jones and Stephanie Burke both totaling five kills and six digs, while Lexi Taylor, Grace Thomas, and Marie Julian logged four kills. Thomas led in assists with 24 and tied with Kaylin Hamilton for a match-high three service aces, as libero Rebecca Heuler made 18 digs. The Broncos totaled 35 kills off a .167 kill percentage, featuring a match-high 14 kills in set one and a .240 kill percentage in set three off eight kills, and 11 total aces.

"Following Tuesday night's loss it was nice to get back on track. Team had good energy from top to bottom," said head coach Beau Bracchy. Delhi has now won 13 of its last 15 matches. The Broncos ran their season high to eight straight wins before Tuesday's defeat at Hartwick.

The Broncos break off from conference play as they head to Castleton University for a tournament Saturday, playing Eastern Connecticut State at 3:00 p.m. and the host Spartans at 5:00 p.m.
