Delhi’s Offensive Explosion Lifts them Past Cazenovia 100-74 to Advance to NAC West Final

Delhi, NY - Delhi Men's Basketball hosted the first round of the NAC West Tournament, defeating fourth-seed Cazenovia 100-74. The offense came alive as the Broncos continue to remain undefeated at home this season, going (13-0).

In the first half, the Broncos carried over their momentum from the last game, finding success working the ball down in the paint. They scored 22 of their 50 points down low as the green and gold went into the half up 50-33. Two Broncos led the way in scoring as Jacob Beach and Lester McCarthy combined for 27 points. They controlled the half, leading by as much as 21 points at one point late in the half.

Delhi would hold their sizable lead through the second half as the offense never let up. This was the fourth time this season that the Broncos scored over 100 points. They were led by the duo of McCarthy and Beach as they both had incredible nights shooting the ball. McCarthy put up 27 points, tying his season high as he went 50% (five-for-ten) from three-point land. He ended with a ten rebound, double-double as he was all over the court. Beach would record 24 points while putting up seven rebounds and four assists.

The Broncos will move on to the NAC West Final, tomorrow, February 18th at 2 PM when they host second-seed SUNY Cobleskill. The two teams met twice in the season with both teams winning at home.
