Delhi Drops First NAC Contest; Marven Louissaint Records 21-Point Double-Double

Cobleskill, NY - The men's basketball (5-3, 0-1) team traveled to take on Cobleskill (7-2, 1-0) for their first conference action of the season but lost 88-75. The Bronco benched stepped up scoring 30 points, but it wouldn't be enough to grab the win.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle, seeing four lead changes and three tie scores. Delhi would go into the half with a one-point lead, 36-35. They were able to grab 12 offensive boards which led to 17 second-chance points for the Broncos. Marven Louissaint almost had a first-half double-double, with 12 points and nine rebounds at the break.

The second half saw the Fighting Tigers pull away as Delhi went three-for-fourteen from three. They ended their night just six-for-thirty one from deep. Louissant led the way for the Broncos as he had his best game in the Green and Gold, putting up 21 points and 14 rebounds (five offensive). Mavenson Therneus also had a double-double, scoring 15 points and bringing down 10 rebounds (six offensive). While Isiah Barnes dished out seven assists while adding 10 points.

Delhi will continue on their away run of games, with their second of eight games. They face off against another NAC school, Northern Vermont-Johnson on December 10th at 4 P.M.
