Delhi, NY - With a huge week in SUNY Delhi athletics we had a ton of standouts to choose from for our Bronco of the Week. For the fourth edition of the selections, men’s basketball player Jacob Beach and men’s track sprinter Joshua Jeffes have been selected. These star athletes have been able to achieve these impressive results two weeks in a row as both Broncos return as the award winners.

Jacob Beach - (Walton, NY - Walton HS) Men’s Basketball

Beach played an integral role in the Broncos winning the NAC West Finals this weekend. The team won both of their games in the NAC West Tournament over the weekend and achieved their first-ever berth to the North Atlantic Championship. Beach ended with 38 total points through the two games as he played an impressive 70 minutes of basketball. He shot very efficiently, shooting 52.15% (15-for-28) from the field. Beach also made his impact felt through more than just scoring, adding 21 rebounds and five assists while only recording three turnovers.

Joshua Jeffes - (Scotia, NY | Scotia Glenville HS) Men’s Indoor Track & Field

Joshua Jeffes has continued his brilliant 2023 Indoor track season with another spectacular performance at Cornell this weekend. He once again tied his own record in the 400-meter race. Jeffes ran 48.92 seconds to place second overall, landing him with the exact time he had run earlier this season when he set the new flat track record for the program. Jeffes now has qualified for the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Championships in the 60m, 200m, and 400m.
