SUNY Delhi Broncos of the Week Jan. 22
Bronco of the Week is back!

Each week we will be highlighting two of our incredible student-athletes and their efforts throughout the week

For our first edition of 2023, we showcase men's basketball player Naphtali Regilus and Track & Field member Miranda Cole after their excellent performances this week.

Naphtali Regilus

Regilus had a huge game over the weekend, facing his former team SUNY Cobleskill, he managed to provide a critical spark that helped propel the Broncos to the win. He would put up 14 points in just 18 minutes, with all of them coming in the second half. Regilus was super-efficient on the floor, shooting 55.6 from the field  (five for nine) while knocking down two big shots from the perimeter down the stretch. He also added six rebounds including three offensive boards.

"Naphtali was unbelievable down the stretch on Saturday. He hit big shots, played with poise and made great decisions. He was a huge part of us being able to come away with the win," said head coach Zack Thomsen.

Miranda Cole

Miranda Cole had a great day overall at the Blue and Orange Invitational hosted at Utica. She posted a pair of runner-up finishes in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash respectively.

Cole ran a terrific 26.91 in the 200-meter dash which breaks her into the All-Time List for women at Delhi, ranking number six all-time. The 26.91 time in the 200-meter dash ranks her just second overall in the North Atlantic Conference this year.

"Miranda is starting to come around, it was a great performance but she definitely has more in her. I have a high expectations of her, she looks like she can be a really good sprinter if she fills out the way I think she will. I think she is getting confident, she is learning what she can do at this level. Slowly but surely she will continue to come out stronger, especially in the outdoors," said head coach Zach Brown
