Broncos Cruise past Morrisville St. 95-77; McCarthy Ties Career-High 27 Points
Delhi - SUNY Delhi (3-2) took on future NAC opponents Morrisville St. at home Tuesday night, defeating the mustangs 95-77. Lester McCarthy and Jacob Beach scored career-highs, combining for 50 points. 
 
The Broncos jumped out to an early lead and never gave it up, leading for 19:23 minutes in the first half. They forced 15 Morrisville turnovers and scored 22 points on the other end. The Broncos went into the half up 57-35 led by three double-digit scorers. Jacob Beach added a team-high 13 points, while Mavenson Therneus scored 11. They were shooting lights out going 11-for-23 from deep and shooting 53.7% from the field. 
 
In the second half, the Broncos continued to hold their lead. They poured on eight more three-pointers as Lester McCarthy would have five himself. McCarthy exploded in the second half, putting up 17 points off 66% shooting. He would end up tying his career-high 27 total points. Beach also would add 10 second-half points to reach his career-high 23 points. Isiah Barnes also played a big role, dishing out 10 assists and seven points. 
 
The Green and Gold shot lights out, going 46% from deep and an impressive 50% from the field. They ended with four players scoring double-digits, combining for 78 of the 95 total points
 
"It was a great way to go into the break. We shot the ball really well, particularly in the first half," said head coach Zack Brown, "Lester and Jake both really got it going offensively and their teammates did a great job of continuing to find them."
 
Delhi will be back right after the break, playing at home verse Castleton on November 27th at 2 P.M.
