Delhi Men's Basketball Drops Away Game at RPI 80-65

Troy, NY - The Broncos (1-1) lose their first game of the season 80-65 against RPI Tuesday night. Delhi had nine different scorers with 34 points from the bench, but the offense fell quite in the end.

At the half the Broncos were down 40-30 as RPI went on a 10-2 scoring run in the last 4:22. Seven different players scored for Delhi, led by Isiah Barnes's eight points. 

The Broncos rushed out of the gates in the second half scoring the first nine points and going on a 11-2 run. They would then be left chasing the Engineer's for the rest of the game as the Broncos struggled to shoot. 

Jacob Beach scored 12 points and five rebounds, team-highs for the night. While Lester McCarthy would add his own 11 points, five rebounds and two steals. Fauzi Cizmesija-Ulmer also added on 11 points off three-for-seven shooting from behind the arc and Marven Louissaint had a good second half scoring all seven of his points. 

The Broncos turn to their next game, November 18th against MCLA at 8 P.M. in the first game of the Williams Classic in Williamstown, Mass. The second game will be played the next day, Saturday against Williams at 3 p.m.
