Delhi Men's Basketball Takes Down MCLA 91-80 in First Game of the Williams Classic

Williamstown, MA - The Broncos (2-1) defeated MCLA in their first game in the Williams Classic 91-80 on Friday evening. Led by four Broncos scoring in double-digits, the Broncos out battled the Trailblazers down low, outscoring them 48-32 in the paint.

The Broncos held a 43-35 lead at halftime in big part due to seven steals and 19 points off turnovers. Delhi shot 10-40 (45%) in the half, while Lester McCarthy and Fauzi Cizmesija-Ulmer combined for 18 points.

Throughout the entirety of second half, the Broncos held a comfortable lead between 5 and 12 points. They forced 26 turnovers which turned into 34 points on the other end. Lester McCarthy led the way with a 20-point, 10 rebound double-double. Marven Louissaint added on his own 15 points and five rebounds. While Isiah Barnes was all over the court posting six assists, four steals and five boards.

The Broncos will face Williams College next in the Purple & Gold Classic Saturday, November 19th at 3 P.M.
