Cobleskill, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team completes the weekend sweep, collecting back-to-back 3-0 victories over Lyndon and Johnson.
Delhi faced off against Lyndon in match one, recording the 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-16) victory. The Broncos dominated the contest from start to finish in similar fashion to the first meeting between the two sides. Delhi would jump out to early leads in each of the first three sets and would never look back.
In match two, it was a similar script, with Delhi earning another 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 28-26) result. The contest was a rematch against a Johnson side that took the Broncos to five sets in their matchup earlier this season. The Broncos would only need three sets this time around building on their win from earlier in the day. In the first two sets, Delhi would record comfortable victories before a thrilling back-and-forth third set to complete the sweep.
Strong performances came from sophomore Madelyn Diep, who recorded 12 kills in game one; fifth-year Michaella DeCapua totaled 45 assists across both matches in her return to action; and fifth-year Sage Renneisen totaled 19 combined kills.
The Broncos move to 10-17, 5-0 in conference play and will next play Cobleskill on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.
