Women's Volleyball Drops In Home Matchup To King's College

Delhi, NY -  The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (19-25, 19-25, 25-27) to King's College on Thursday night.

King's College entered the night on a roll with an impressive 8-1 record. The Monarchs started strong, going up early in set one, and never looked back, maintaining a comfortable lead and coasting to a 19-25 victory. Delhi flipped the script to start the second set, jumping out to a lead of their own before King's mounted a comeback to take the set 19-25. In an attempt to avoid the sweep, the Broncos played their best set in a back-and-forth contest that ultimately saw the Monarchs narrowly winning 25-27.

Strong performances came from fifth-year Sage Renneisen recording a team-high 10 kills, senior Jaiden Venute totaled a team-high 24, and junior Audrey Logsdon earned a team-high 14 digs.

The Broncos move to 3-10 and will next play MCLA and Paul Smith's College in a Saturday Sept. 21 home tri-match.
