Alfred, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team falls in their weekend tri-match, dropping matches to Alfred St. 3-0 (19-25, 14-25, 25-27) and Lycoming 3-0 (18-25, 16-25, 16-25). 

In game one, facing a familiar opponent in Alfred St., a team the squad faced earlier in the season and fell to a score of 3-0. It was much of the same in the second meeting between the teams; Alfred St. jumped out to early leads, commandingly taking the first two sets. In an attempt to avoid the sweep, Delhi would put up their most competitive set, but just narrowly falling 25-27. 

In game two, it was a similar result to the first match, coming up short to Lycoming 3-0. Lycoming appeared to be in control from start to finish, taking each of the first three sets. Delhi's top performers from the weekend included senior Laurel Poston, who totaled 20 assists, and fifth-year Sage Renneisen, who posted 14 kills. 

The Broncos move to 4-14 and will next play away against Morrisville on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
