Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team hosted a quad match this weekend, falling 3-0 (8-25, 21-25, 24-26) to Keuka College and 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 7-25, 18-25) to Muhlenberg College.
In game one, Keuka jumped out to an early lead in set one and never looked back, finishing with a commanding victory (8-25). Delhi went down early again in set two before mounting a big comeback that fell just short (21-25). The Broncos played their best in set three in a back and forth contest that resulted in a narrow Keuka win (24-26).
In game two, a strong Muhlenberg side took set one (19-25), followed by a bounceback performance and victory (25-22) in set two by the Broncos's to even the match at one apiece. Muhlenberg would shut down any chance of a comeback, commandingly winning the next two sets.
First-years Olivia King and Ella Ludmerer found extended minutes in the rotation and provided a spark in match two for the team. King recorded 8 digs as Ludmerer posted 7 kills. Junior Audrey Logsdon accumulated 30 digs across both matches, and fifth-year Sage Renneisen totaled 8 kills between both matches.
The Broncos move to 2-5 and will next host Russell Sage College on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m.
