Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball fell 3-0 (22-25, 15-25, 20-25) to Bard at home Wednesday night.
Bard started strong, jumping out to an early lead in set one and never looked back, taking the set 22-25. The Raptors followed a similar trend for the entirety of the match, getting ahead early and maintaining the lead throughout. The Broncos launched a last-effort comeback in the third and final set. Delhi would make things close, cutting the score to 19-21, before Bard would eventually pull away, taking the set 20-25 to earn the sweep.
Strong performances came from fifth-year Sage Renneisen recording a team-high 7 kills, junior Audrey Logsdon added a team-high 12 digs, and senior Jaiden Venute totaled a team-high 12 assists.
The Broncos move to 5-16 and will next play away at Vermont State Johnson on Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. to open up conference play.
