Women's Volleyball Captures Thrilling Victory Over Elmira

Elmira, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team earned a thrilling 3-2 victory (22-25, 25-20, 25-13, 19-25, 15-12) over Elmira on Tuesday night. 

Elmira started strong, jumping out to an early lead to take the first set 22-25. Delhi would bounce back in the following set, taking it 25-20 to tie the contest up at one apiece. The Broncos would build on the momentum and play their best set next, earning a commanding 25-13 victory. Facing elimination, Elmira answered the call in set four to force a deciding fifth set. In the final set, Delhi jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, taking the set and match. 

Strong performances came from fifth-year Katelyn Babcock, who recorded 15 kills and 7 digs; fifth-year Sage Renneisen added 13 kills of her own; and senior Jaiden Venute totaled 20 assists. 

The Broncos move to 5-15 and will next play Bard tomorrow at home 7 p.m.
