Men's Soccer Remain Undefeated In Conference Play, Defeating Cobleskill 3-1

Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team remains undefeated in conference play, defeating SUNY Cobleskill 3-1. 

The Broncos started fast once again, going ahead early as sophomore Garrett Gill completely embraced his new role at forward for the Broncos, scoring his first goal of the season 18 minutes in off an assist from sophomore Roberto Velasquez-Osorio. Cobleskill would answer immediately, just 3 minutes later, when Connor Fancher scored his seventh goal of the year, assisted by Spencer Reisman. Cobleskill would be on defense for the remainder of the half, with Delhi applying constant pressure. 

Delhi would break the 1-1 tie just minutes into the second half, with Garrett Gill coming through again for the Broncos, scoring his second off a pass from sophomore Matthew Pozo. Not long after, Junior John Walsh would ice the game with an incredible finish off another assist from Roberto Velasquez-Osorio. Delhi would remain in control, finishing the game with a comfortable 3-1 victory. 

The Broncos move to 4-3-4, 3-0 in conference play and will next play Vermont St. Lyndon on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m.
