Johnson, VT - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team remains undefeated in conference play, defeating Vermont St. Johnson 3-0 while earning their fifth shutout of the year.
The Broncos started fast once again, going ahead early as junior John Walsh found the back of the net just 18 minutes in, assisted by junior Matt Serrao. Two minutes later, Kian Flynn added to the lead, recording his first collegiate goal. The score would stay the same, with Delhi entering the half up 2-0.
The second half was much of the same, with Delhi in control of the match, recording 15 shots on the day. Roberto Velasquez-Osorio would add his third goal of the season, coming by way of a free kick from distance. Delhi's combination of goalkeepers sophomore Salvatore Meloni and first-year Joseph Musso would combine to record the shutout.
The Broncos move to 3-3-4, 2-0 in conference play and will next play SUNY Cobleskill on Monday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m.
