Men's Soccer Ties Morrisville 0-0 in Away Contest

Morrisville, NY - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw to SUNY Morrisville in an away contest.

A match between two teams that were very familiar with each other having competed against one another the last couple of seasons as part of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Morrisville has since made the jump this season to competing in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).

It was a back-and-forth match for the majority of the game, with both teams creating several opportunities. The Mustangs accumulated 11 shots and 6 corner kicks, while the Broncos's amounted to 8 shots and 4 corner kicks. Junior John Walsh provided a spark off the bench for Delhi as he contributed 4 of the team's 8 shots, two of which were on target, and sophomore Salvatore Meloni earned his third shutout of the season.

The Broncos move to 1-2-3 and have a quick turnaround as they host Syracuse Oswego tomorrow at 3 p.m.
