Men's Soccer Comes Up Short Against Marywood

Scranton, PA - The SUNY Delhi men's soccer team came up shorthanded, falling 2-0 to Marywood in an away contest. 

Marywood from the kickoff controlled the majority of the contest, creating chances and maintaining possession. The Pacers were knocking on the door for minutes before scoring their first goal of the game, coming way of a reinserted second ball off of a corner kick. Danny Gomez got on the end of it, scoring his third goal of the year, assisted by Alex Visha. The half would remain that way, finishing up 1-0. 

Delhi opened up with some momentum in the second half, having the better of play and opportunities that came with it. In the final minutes of the game, with the Broncos pushing to find a late equalizer, the Pacers would find themselves their second goal on a counterattack goal from Kyle Falcon, assisted by Nolan Kozera. 

The Broncos move to 1-2-2 and will next be on the road, taking on Morrisville on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m.
