Delhi Track and Field's record breaking year ends in familiar fashion at AARTFC

Selinsgrove, PA - Delhi Track and Field traveled to Susquehanna University for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships on Wednesday and Thursday. The team piled up numerous top-10 finishes as well as breaking two more school records.

The first record to fall was the women's 4x100 meter relay as the team of Sabrina Richards, Miranda Cole, Zoe Rodi and Kadie-Ann Whyte broke the mark for the third time this season. This time they shattered it running 48.26 seconds dropping more than a half second from the previous mark of 48.78. The quartet also broke the North Atlantic Conference Meet record earlier this season.

Cole, who has been running extremely well lately, ran what may have been the most impressive performance of the meet in the 200-meter dash.  She ran a new school record of 25.48 seconds into a headwind of 2.5 meters per second to place seventh in the region.

On the men's side, the top performance came from Joshua Jeffes.  He placed second overall in the 400 meters with a time of 47.81 seconds. Jeffes's season-best time of 47.57 currently ranks 22nd in the NCAA for NCAA Division III and looks to have him slated to run in the championship next weekend.  He also placed fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.95.

The other two top-ten finishes for the Broncos came from freshman Deron Davis and senior Morgan Condon. Davis placed ninth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.16 seconds, while Condon capped his career with a huge lifetime best in the 400-meter hurdles, running 54.08 to drop more than a second off his previous best and placed tenth overall.

The Bronco's outdoor season is now largely over, except for anyone accepted into the NCAA Division III Championships.  The NCAA takes the top 22 declared entries in each event so the team will wait now to see who makes the cut.
