Broncos of the Year Joshua Jeffes, Kelsey Innes (2022-23)

Both Josh Jeffes and Kelsey Innes have cemented themselves in the record books and history of Delhi athletics forever after their incredible seasons in the green and gold. These student-athletes had unforgettable seasons in the respected sports and were recently recognized as the SUNY Delhi Athletes of the Year at the end of the year athletics banquet.

Joshua Jeffes- (Scotia, NY / Scotia-Glenville High School) - Men's Track & Field

Josh Jeffes continues to be a bright spot in Delhi athletics with another record-breaking year by the sprinter. Jeffes broke school records in the indoor 200, 300 and 400 meters as well as outdoors in the 400 meters. He also led the indoor 4x200 relay to the school record in that event. His performance in the 300-meter dash indoors ranks as #2 in NCAA Division III history.

He won the frozen eight conference title in the 200 and 400 meters and with the 4x400-meter relay team and placed 14th in the NCAA Championships at 400 meters. Jeffes finished off his incredible season with two individual victories in the 200- and 400-meter dash at the North Atlantic Conference Championships.

Kelsey Innes - (North Babylon, NY / North Babylon High School) - Women’s Soccer

Kelsey Innes cemented herself into the history books of Delhi women’s soccer after an incredible final year in the green and gold. She led the team to their first ever NAC (North Atlantic Conference) championship and NCAA tournament appearance by any team in SUNY Delhi history. Along the way, she broke the Delhi all time goal scoring (51 goals scored), total points record (129 total points) and games started (67 games started).

Innes was on fire at the end of the year, scoring 12 goals in her final eight games to collect NAC Tournament MVP and First team all-conference accolades.
