Birmingham, AL - Men's track and field member Joshua Jeffes traveled to the Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday to compete in the 400-meter race. With a time of 48.64 in the preliminary heat, Jeffes would be just .45 second from finals qualification and an All-American selection. 

"Indoor 400m is a tough race and it was definitely a stacked field this year. We knew he had to get out fast the first 150 to set up a good race and have a chance. He got out in 22.21 seconds for his first 200m, the fastest he's ever started the race. He's had an amazing season and he's not done yet, he will be back."

Jeffes and the Delhi track and field team will continue on to their outdoor season, starting March 25th at Mount Saint Mary (Marbroll HS).
