Bangor, ME - The SUNY Delhi women's soccer team was back in action Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to Husson in the NAC Championship.
In the biggest game of the season, it was a battle from start to finish between both sides. Husson would strike early, wasting no time grabbing a 1-0 lead just 4 minutes into the contest. Kate Harriman would add to her strong season by slotting home her 21st goal of the season. Less than ten minutes later, Devon St. Louis would score her fifth goal of the year, assisted by Rylee Speed. Husson would finish off the half strong, entering the break with a 2-0 lead.
It was much of the same in the second half, with the Eagles totaling 10 second half shots and scoring two more goals to put the game out of reach. Kate Harriman would find the back of the net for a second time, along with Natalie Aviolla finishing her 11th goal of the year.
The Broncos come up short in the conference championship and will shift their focus to next season, finishing the year with an 11-6 record going 3-1 in conference play.
