Delhi Softball defeated in doubleheader at Keuka College

Keuka Park, NY - Delhi softball traveled to take on Keuka College in a doubleheader Wednesday evening and were taken down in both games. In the first game, the green and gold fought hard but a late-inning rally by the Wolves brought them down 8-6, while they were defeated 11-3 in the second contest.

The Broncos (3-19) will kick off their North Atlantic conference play this season with their next games against Cazenovia on Friday, April 14th.

How it Happened:

Game One: Delhi 6 | Keuka 8

After tying up the game at one score a piece in the second inning of a wild pitch, the Broncos pushed through five runs in the second and third inning. Emmalee Keyser and McKenzie Wilson both singled in the second, driving in a run each. Gabriella Narcisse then drove in one and Riley Martin knocked in two in the fourth inning to stretch their lead to 6-2.  

The Wolves would make a late-game push, scoring six runs in the final two frames to take the win 8-6. Katelynn Rose pitched all six innings for the green and gold with three strikeouts.

Game Two: Delhi 3 | Keuka 11

Once again the Bronco's bats were alive early as they drove in all three of their runs in the second innings to strike first. Freshman Miah Hamm smacked a triple to left field, scoring two runs and then was driven in by a Kayla Beers single.

Keuka would then score 11 straight to take home the second game of the doubleheader. Danielle Seymour and Katelynn Rose combined for 31 batters faced on the mound.

What's Next:

Delhi kicks off conference play for 2023 with a home stand against Cazenovia on April 15 and 16th.
