Delhi Softball drops both games of doubleheader at Marywood

Scranton, PA - SUNY Delhi softball made a short trip south to take on Marywood in a doubleheader Wednesday night. The Broncos would drop the first game of the afternoon 4-0 before Marywood used a steady offensive attack to take the second game 8-0.

In game one, Delhi (3-11) would fall behind 1-0 after the first inning and that would be all Marywood would need as the Broncos' bats weren't able to come alive through seven innings. Delhi collected just three hits with Katelynn Rose and Roselyn Monks each registering a double.

In game two, the Pacers built a big lead after the first inning, racing out to a 5-0 lead. The Bronco offense was again limited to three hits through the 5-inning contest.

Rose would start both games in the circle for Delhi, pitching 6.2 combined innings.

The Broncos look to open their home season this Friday with a doubleheader with Elmira College. Game one will start at 3:00 PM with game two to follow at approximately 5:00 PM at Robert S. Brown Athletic Fields.
