For the eighth edition of the Bronco of the Week in 2023, we highlight two student-athletes that used their spring breaks to stand out. Both student-athletes performed superbly over the week with Kayla Beers hitting over .400 through 10 games in Florida and Sean Dalton leading the lacrosse team to a win in their first conference game of the season. 

Kayla Beers- (East Meredith, NY / Charlotte Valley Central High School) - Women’s Softball

Kayla led the way for the Broncos at the Gene Cusic Classic in Naples Florida where the team played 10 games in five days. The senior's bat was hot all week, recording 12 hits in her 31 plate appearances for a batting average of .419 on the week. Beers, who never struck out, knocked in three RBIs and recorded one extra-base hit. She was a huge part of the success throughout the week playing almost every position in the field. 

Sean Dalton - (Hicksville, NY / Hicksville High School) - Men's Lacrosse

Dalton helped the Broncos win their conference opener this week in a big 17-10 win over SUNY Canton. The junior captain had two assists, five ground balls and three caused turnovers throughout the game. Dalton and the Delhi defense allowed only two goals in the second half as he continues to improve on the field and in his leadership role.
