For the 13th edition of the Bronco of the Week in 2023, we shine the spotlight on two student athletes who had great weeks in their respective sports. Senior Kayla Beers continues to be feared in the batters box for the softball team while Cristhian Cuevas set his personal record in the long jump on the way to AARTFC qualification.

Kayla Beers - (East Meredith, NY / Charlotte Valley Central High School) - Softball

Kayla Beers has continued to rake at the plate through the 2023 season, recording eight hits and a double through her six games last week. She currently leads the team with an impressive .437 batting average with 12 RBIs and 14 runs.

Cristhian Cuevas - (Utica, NY / Proctor High School) - Men's Track & Field

Cuevas rounded out a incredible team effort at the The Cortland Classic over the weekend. He set his personal record in the men’s long jump with a 6.71, qualifying him for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships.. Cuevas wasn’t done there as he also played a key role in the men's 4x400 meter team posting a very impressive 3:17.50 time to place third in the meet and rank in the 20 in the nation for Division III teams.
