The Broncos defeated NVU-Johnson 2-0 to Advance to NAC West Championship

Delhi, NY The Women's Soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the NAC Championship after defeating NVU-Johnson 2-0. The Broncos will play in the NAC West Championship for the second year in a row.

Delhi had an extremely solid match as the Broncos controlled the pace of the game. It didn't take long for the Green and Gold to get going scoring in the 14th minute. Kelsey Innes collected a long ball from Olivia Curry and dribbled around the keeper to grab the first goal of the game. With that goal Innes breaks another Delhi record, this time becoming the Bronco's all-time scoring leader, passing alumni Katie Herba with 47 total goals.

Innes was a key player in the match creating space and flushing away goals. She would find another score just a few moments later in the 19th minute. She grabbed a well-placed through ball from Micayla Slattery and put it away in the bottom right corner. This would be the last time either team found the back of the net as neither team gave anything away.

Keeper Andraya Hunt made two saves through the match, adding another clean sheet to her NAC high seven in the regular season. Defender Olivia Curry had a great match as well controlling the backline and assisting Innes in her record-breaking goal.

The Broncos advance to the NAC semi-final match against Cazenovia at noon Sunday, October 30th in Delhi. They will look to advance to the NAC Championships for the first time since joining the NAC.
