The Broncos Trample the Fighting Tigers 4-0 at Home

Delhi, NY - The Broncos took down NAC West Divisional opponents SUNY Cobleskill 4-0 at Neil Riddell Field. Delhi now has clinched home-field advantage through the NAC playoffs with one regular season match remaining.

The Broncos didn't take long to get going, bombarding the Fighting Tigers with a barrage of shots after the starting whistle. They would end up with 20 total shots in the first half.

The Green and Gold kicked off the scoring with a Kelsey Innes goal assisted by Reanen Goodspeed in the 36th minute. With her 10th goal of the season, Kelsey Innes is now the Bronco's leader in career points with 110, moving past Delhi Alumni Katie Herba's (16-18) 108.

Innes wouldn't be close to done, going on to score another goal in the 43rd minute to go up 2-0. The dominant Delhi half would end with an exclamation point as Shaniyah Myers would score from distance in the 45th minute assisted by Kailey Leach. With that goal, the freshman has two goals on the season. The Broncos were equally as solid on the back line as they were on the attack, holding Cobleskill to one shot in the half.

The second half started with a goal from Olivia Lebrun to put the Broncos up four. She trickled a ball through the goalkeeper for her fourth goal of the season. The Green and Gold controlled the rest of the game without giving up another shot on goal. Keeper Andraya Hunt records her sixth clean sheet of the year, putting her alone at the top of the NAC for most shutouts this season.

The Broncos will prepare for their final regular season game on the road against SUNY Canton on Saturday, October 22nd at 3:30 pm.
