The Delhi Broncos traveled to Throggs Neck to battle against SUNY Maritime and came out with a 3-0 win. After failing to score a goal in the first two matches of the season, the Broncos let it lose today scoring three goals.

"Great to get the first win of the season tonight and back-to-back shutouts, said head coach Zach Ward, "The players make the job easy when they get right to work and find an opening goal within the first minute of the game."

We're in a good spot when we host Geneva on Thursday. I'm looking forward to hosting a former player of mine."

Delhi clicked on both sides of the field, playing great defense and attacking soccer. They only let up three total shots with only one on target, while putting up 15 of their own.

Senior, Kelsey Innes led the way for the Bronco's attack scoring all three goals of the contest. She had an incredible night with an individual effort on her first goal, Innes streaked up the right side and put the ball in from 10 yards out.

Her next goal was aided by Becky Drumm who picked her out in the 18 which Innes finished top center. Innes completed her hat trick just four minutes into the second half when Olivia LeBrun put a great ball in front of the goal allowing Kelsey to head it in.

"We've talked about managing the game early in the season and I was really pleased with how we handled getting the early lead, said coach Ward, "playing in less than pleasant conditions and seeing the game out."

The Broncos will now look ahead to hosting the Geneva Golden Tornadoes on September 8th at 6 PM on Neil Riddell Field.
