The Broncos Fall in an Away Match Against Undefeated Lycoming College, 5-0

The Delhi Broncos (1-2-2) faced another tough matchup against the Lycoming Warriors mid-day Sunday in Williamsport. The ball didn't bounce the Bronco's way as three of the five Warriors goals came from corners.

Delhi was held to only four total shots on goal throughout the game, including four different players. Micayla Slattery and Olivia LeBrun saw chances in the first half. While Kelsey Innes and Shaniyah Myers's shots came in the second. Goalkeepers Andraya Hunt and Julia Ruppert combined for eight saves as Ruppert took over for Hunt in the 72nd minute.

The Broncos will now move to their second of four away games on the schedule. They will now travel to play NVU-Johnson on Saturday, September 17th.

Comments from Coach Zach Ward: "It's been a tough stretch of games to open the season. Five games in the first 11 days and now we turn our attention to two long road trips over the next two weekends. It was the little things today that gave Lycoming their chances and they put them away. We'll have to be stronger in our penalty area going into conference play. Our energy was really good over the last 45 minutes and we were starting to build some momentum. Kelsey Innes, Kailey Leach and Alivia Cordero had strong second halves. We've got a lot to digest on our day off tomorrow and we'll get back to the training ground on Tuesday morning."
