SALISBURY, MD (January 23, 2022) - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team traveled south on Sunday for a rare matchup with Salisbury University in an effort to get back games that have been lost due to cancellations.  The Sea Gull's took a 70-53 win over the Broncos, dropping the team to 11-5 on the season.

The Broncos started the night cold from the floor managing only 9 points in the first 13 minutes making three of their first 23 shot attempts.  This drought allowed Salisbury to build an early 15 point lead.  Although the men did manage to chip away at the lead and cut it all the way down to five points, another cold shooting stretch late, converting only two of 21 shots would let the Sea Gulls off the hook as they pushed the lead back up to as high as 21 points. Overall, Delhi shot 26% from the floor on the night.

The Delhi effort was led by freshman point guard Isiah Barnes who posted 15 points and five steals in the effort.  Leading the team in rebounds was freshman JP Miller with seven.

The men continue a very busy stratch on their schedule as they come off two games over the weekend.  This week they will play against Morrisville on Tuesday, Cazenovia on Wednesday and Cobleskill on Saturday.
