DELHI, N.Y. (November 9, 2021) - Winter sports are up and running as we give you our Limitless Photos Broncos of the Week! This week's rollout belongs to swimming & diving's Alexandria Caceres (Pine Bush, NY / Pine Bush) and men's basketball's Erhunosere Uwuigbe (Far Rockaway-Queens, NY / Franklin K. Lane)!
Caceres earned a pair of victories at the Utica College Invitational Friday in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.62 and the 100-yard freestyle at 59.47, winning the latter by .17 seconds. She then came in third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.36. The Pine Bush native was recently named the NAC Swimmer of the Week after the Broncos' season opener at Hartwick in late October, becoming the first-ever recipient since the conference added swimming & diving as a sponsored sport.
Erhunosere Uwuigbe, also known as Prince, delivered 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench, making 6-of-7 from the field with one 3-pointer as the Broncos opened their season with an 89-75 win at Castleton Sunday. With Delhi ahead just 47-44 at the half, Prince delivered ten of his points in the second half, making 4-of-4 field goals, as the Broncos outpaced the Spartans down the stretch. He also totaled two steals, one assist, and one block.
