DELHI, N.Y. (December 21, 2021) - Our year-end version of the Limitless Photos Broncos of the Week leads us to the roundball, going out to women's basketball's Marissa Kupris and men's basketball's Isiah Barnes.
Marrisa Kupris (Brookfield, NY / Brookfield Central) dropped in seven points with seven rebounds in SUNY Delhi's 2021 finale Friday against Bryant & Stratton Syracuse, including five points in the fourth quarter where the Broncos outscored the Bobcats, 18-5.
Isiah Barnes (Elmont, NY / Elmont) finished as one of Delhi's three 20-point scorers in Friday's 99-87 victory over Bryant & Stratton Syracuse to conclude the 2021 stretch of the season at 8-4. The point guard delivered a season-best 22 points and nearly logging a double-double with nine assists. On a night where the Broncos made 17 threes, all but one of Barnes' field goals came from inside the arc, finishing 9-of-16 from the field and 3-of-3 on free throws that helped keep Delhi toe-for-toe with the Bobcats in the early going. Down by two at halftime and clinging to just one-possession leads to start the second half, the Broncos caught fire with 37 points in the last 13 minute to pull away, where Barnes contributed five of his points, including his lone three of the evening.
