The Broncos Finish Regular Season with Loss to Utica in Four Sets
 

Utica, NY - The Broncos (13-10,8-0) were defeated by Utica University in their final match of the regular season, three sets to one. After a slower start through the first five matches of the season, the Broncos kicked into gear going 12-5 the rest of the season. They go into the NAC Tournament first seed in the NAC West Division for the second year in a row. 

The Green and Gold took the first set 26-24 in a back-and-forth battle that saw 17 tie scores and seven lead changes. Freshman Genea Kadlubowski came up big with two blocks in the final five points, including one to win the final point. The Pioneers would regroup and go on to take the next three sets 25-18, 25-14 and 25-21. 

The Broncos had nine different players to record a kill, led by Stephanie Burke's nine. Freshman Alyssa Cole had one of her best games of the season posting six kills on a .308 kill percentage. 

Delhi will turn its focus to the NAC West Quarterfinals on Saturday, October 29th at 2 p.m. where they will host SUNY Cobleskill. The two teams met twice in the 2022 season with the Broncos sweeping the Fighting Tigers in both matches.
