Delhi Battled hard but was Defeated in Three Sets by Hartwick

Delhi, NY - The Broncos took on Hartwick Friday night in Delhi and held tough but unfortunately fell three sets to zero. After winning six consecutive matches, Delhi drops their first match since September 13th. 

Delhi jumped out to a great start in the first set going up 18-10 but a key timeout by Hartwick flipped the momentum. The Broncos would fight till the end going into the tiebreaker but would lose the first set 28-26. The Green and Gold posted an impressive 16 kills throughout that set.

The second set was another set full of scoring streaks. Delhi went up at the beginning of the set 8-2 but ended up falling 25-20. The Broncos had four different players combine for 10 kills. The last set was controlled by Hartwick as they jumped out to a lead and never gave it back winning 25-14. 

Delhi posted 34 kills through the three sets led by Sage Renneisen and Stephanie Burke's 19 combined kills. Seven different Broncos ended up recording at least one kill as the Delhi attack came together. Gianna Militi had another solid game on the serve, putting up two service aces on 20 attempts with only two errors. 

The Broncos will look to bounce back against SUNY Oneonta at home on October 12th at 6:00 PM.
