Delhi Kicks off NAC Conference Play Sweeping Cobleskill in Three Sets

Delhi - Winners of their last four matches, the Broncos grab their first conference win of the season against NAC West rivals SUNY Cobleksill. Delhi has only let one set slip in their last four matches after sweeping Cobleskill Wednesday night. After falling to the Fighting Tigers in last year's NAC semi-final match, Delhi gets their revenge.

"We had one of our strongest matches of the season tonight in regard to offensive output. We hit .260 as a unit and had big nights from Stephanie Burke with 16 kills and a .500 hitting percentage and Chloe Elsenbeck with 9 kills and a .400 hitting percentage," said head coach Beau Bracchy, "We needed to swing well at the net because we, unfortunately, had 12 service errors.  Our back row played very well with the dig and free ball passing, which allowed us to get solid swings at the net.  It was nice to start North Atlantic Conference play with a W!"

The Broncos came out swinging in each set, seeing only three lead changes and seven ties through the contest. They had 38 total team kills on a .260 percentage. Delhi won the first set 25-17 and never looked back, taking the last two 25-18 and 25-15.

The Broncos look to be hitting their stride, winning five of their last six. Stephanie Burke posted a season-high 16 kills and 17 points while Jaiden Venute dished out 34 assists. Gianna Militi also played a big role in the win with her 17 serves with a .824 average.

The Broncos will look to keep on rolling on Friday when they travel to take on divisional opponents Cazenovia at 7 pm.
