Delhi Sweep Tri-Matches Without Giving up a Set

Delhi - The Broncos (4-5) took on both College of Mount Saint Vincent and The Kings College (NY) and left Floyd L. Maines Arena with two wins. The Broncos now ride a three-game winning streak heading into conference matches after holding both teams to less than 20 points in every set. They outscored their opponents 150-96 through those six sets, only giving up the lead twice early. 

The first match saw Delhi control the game against the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent as they took the win in three sets. Stephanie Burke led the way for the Bronco's attack putting up 10 kills and 12 digs. Chloe Elsenbeck also played solid in the front with eight kills from 25 total attacks. Gianna Militi had a great day serving with three service aces in the first match and five in the second. She ended up serving 36 total times on the day, with a solid .828 serving percentage and only six serving errors. 

In the second match, the Broncos took down King's College in three sets with 30 kills in total. The whole Delhi squad got in the action with eight different players posting a kill. Chloe Elsenbeck, Katelyn Babcock, Stephanie Burke and Gabriela Kralik all put up six kills. Setter Jaiden Venute also impressed with 26 out of the team's 27 assists to go along with four service aces in the second match. 

After dropping their first four matches, Delhi has come alive winning four of their last five. The Broncos will look to continue their solid play against divisional opponents SUNY Cobleskill on Wednesday, September 28th at 7 pm.
