Elmira, NY - The Broncos (10-8, 5-0) took on Elmira College on the road Tuesday night but left in defeat after four sets. The non-conference loss snaps their three-match winning streak but numerous Broncos shined on the court.

The Broncos fell in the first set 25-22 in a close first frame. Sage Renneisen and Stephanie Burke both added four kills, but the Soaring Eagles took the set in the end. The Green and Gold evened up the score after taking the second set in the tiebreaker 26-24. They combined for 16 overall kills on a .310 hitting percentage behind Katelyn Babcock's and Renneisen's five second-set kills. The Soaring Eagles would go on to take the next two sets 25-20 and 25-18 to finish off the Broncos.

Delhi attackers had a solid day with two Broncos swinging for their career highs in kills. Junior Katelyn Babcock hit 11 total kills marking her most kills ever. While junior Sage Renneisen recorded 15 total kills, her career-high and the second most by any Bronco this year. Jaiden Venute also had an impressive night as she dished out assists to her fellow Broncos, racking up 40 through the four sets. This was her second time getting 40 assists this season after she already recorded 42, her career high previously this year.

The Broncos will look to get back in the win column when they take on Morrisville State on October 20th, in Delhi at 7:00 PM.
