The Broncos fall in the final match of the season against SUNY Canton 2-0

Canton, NY - The Broncos traveled to conference opponents SUNY Canton (8-6-2, 4-3-2) to take on SUNY Canton but were defeated 2-0. They will go into the NAC Championship tournament for the third seed in the NAC West Division. Returning to the tournament for the first time since 2019 when they lost to Canton in the quarterfinals.

The Broncos were active on the attacking side, pressing the Roo's most of the half and making the Canton defense work. They, unfortunately, wouldn't be able to find the back of the net. It was a quiet first half for both teams as Delhi totaled three shots while the Roos put up only two shots.

SUNY Canton would come out the gates of the second half and break the stalemate with a goal in the 46th minute. The Green and Gold were left chasing that one goal deficit all second half. The Broncos had their chances with five shots in the second half but nothing found its way through. The Roos would go on to shut the door on the Broncos with a late goal in the 89th minute to pull ahead 2-0.

Delhi will now prepare for the NAC Quarterfinals on Saturday, October 29th when they will take on SUNY Canton again.
